News from Mrs. Tiber
Dear CCS Families,
When I followed God’s leading to take on the role of principal 3 years ago, I had no idea the Lord was leading me on a road of complete surrender and reliance on His strength to face daily challenges, make tough decisions, and fully rely on finding my worth and identity in Him. All of this personal growth has been for my good, to become more like Christ, and for His glory. God has been showing me how to surrender, with open hands, the things which I held and still do hold so dear in all areas of my life—I am still learning how to do this with everything, including this ministry position.
Even to apply for the position of principal, I had to submit to the Lord’s leading and be obedient to do what I knew He was calling me to even when it didn’t make sense or it was out of my comfort zone. I had been a teacher for 11 years and “I” was planning on continuing to do so. But those weren’t His plans. Now, again, the Lord is calling me to be obedient to follow His leading even when I don’t know what is ahead. What I do know is that His thoughts and His ways are higher (Isaiah 55:9), He is good and His plans for us are good. Always.
This was a very difficult decision to make but with the Lord’s leading, I will be resigning my position as Principal of Calvary Christian School.
Please join me in praying for the leadership and elder board of Calvary Boise as they will be determining the next steps for leadership of CCS and giving updates as decisions are made. I will continue to be a presence throughout the summer during this transition and will faithfully pray for and support the ministry of Calvary Christian School. Our staff is both hopeful and expectant to see the good things God will continue to do in and through this very special place. It has been such a gift to be a part of this ministry for 16 years, 14 of that as staff.
Although I will miss being a part of the daily interactions, the relationships we have made will continue as we are one family in Him. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of all of your lives. My love for each of you is deep. Calvary Boise is my home church and I hope to see you all at services or events as we start meeting together again.
Wherever our race takes us, I am reminded of what Paul wrote and want to encourage you to keep growing to become more like Christ and to keep your eyes forward and upward on things eternal!
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:12-14
All for His glory,
